If you have to carry your gun for any distance, you know how important a light weight case is. After carrying your gun for even a short while the extra weight of a heavy case can wear you out. Fortunately aluminum allows for a durable case without the weight of some other materials.
2. Durable
One of the main jobs of any gun case is to protect your weapon from damage. Any hunter that has ever had to pack their weapon through the woods to get to their camp knows how easily a weapon can get dropped or banged about. If your gun case is not made of a durable material it will not provide the weapon with the protection it needs. Metal cases are not easily damaged, they do not bend, and they also provide a level of weather resistance not found in cloth cases.
